Clinical Supervision
Congratulations! You’ve completed your graduate studies; one step towards obtaining your professional clinical therapy license. But before that…Supervision!
At the Pleasant Clinical & Consulting Company, we firmly believe that therapists should arrive in this field of work refreshed, knowledgeable and well trained to begin working with members of some of our most vulnerable populations. There are very few career fields that require people to bring their whole selves to the work. We are committed to the preparedness of our next generation of clinical therapists.
According to the National Association of Social Work, the purpose of supervision is to “protect clients, support practitioners, and ensure that professional standards and quality services are delivered by competent social workers”.
As a Supervisee of Social Work with the Pleasant Clinical & Consulting Company, your first year of supervision will be your Foundational Year. We’ll cover topics such as:
- Establishing the Therapeutic Relationship
- Ethical Standards
- Confidentiality/Privileged Communication
- Case Consultation…and more
Your second year will focus on deepening and expanding your understanding of Year I ,in addition to focusing on clinical challenges that may arise while providing direct care.
